Lifelong Learning Month launches on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wilfrid Laurier Creativity Hub, Brantford Convention Centre, 100 Market Street South.
Discover over 25 events, happening this October including:

  • Mindfulness, meditation, and yoga
  • Health and physical activity
  • And many more
Refreshments will be provided.

Get an introduction to virtual reality and learn how to use VR in the library in a session for individuals or small groups up to 6. Participants 16+ will be certified to use the VR independently on future visits.

Lunch and Learn with Nova Vita on Multiculturalism - A Lifelong Learning Month Event

October 15th, 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Anita Menon, the Multiculturalism Community Engagement Worker from Nova Vita, will be hosting a Lunch and Learn session for those interested in hearing about the complex issues facing individuals from different cultural backgrounds, and the intersection between issues of domestic violence and culture.

Let’s Get Moving - Let’s Try Walk Fit - Lifelong Learning Month Event

October 15th, 10:00 - 1:00 pm

Laurier YMCA (100 Water St., Brantford)

Learn to use Activator walking poles that provide a low-impact workout during an indoor walk. Walking poles reduce the impact excercise has on your joints and can improve the strength and coordination of your upper body. Free transportation to and from the event is available and lunch will be provided.
