Hands On History: Remembrance (Ages: all)

Examine artifacts from WWII, including helmets and hats, medals, soldier’s kits and comforts. Brantford’s contributions at Normandy will be discussed, marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Local history enthusiasts will also enjoy learning about library resources for finding genealogy and military records.

Get Ready for Kindergarten (Ages: 3-4)

Preschoolers ages 3+ will enjoy this Kindergarten readiness group focusing on Pre-K skills and activities. Parents are asked to remain in the library during the program while their child participates independently.

Homework Help Drop-In

Elementary school students, Grades 1 to 8, can drop-in for homework help with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club. Please e-mail LSFLclub@gmail.com for more information.

Runs from September 23 to November 28, except when closed October 14 to 18 for University Reading Week.

Winter session runs from January 27 to April 2, except during program breaks from February 17 to 21 for University Reading Week and March 16 to 20 for March Break.
