English Conversation Cafe (Ages: 19+)

Practice your spoken English in a relaxed social setting. Newcomers to Canada, 19 years and older, who want to improve their English and make new friends are welcome. The program runs every Tuesday evening at the Main Library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. until June 27th then will resume on September 12. Just drop in!

Have you ever wondered how Helen Keller communicated with people, or how well you would cope with loss of vision and hearing? Come experience for yourself the daily obstacles but also the communication methods used by someone who is Deafblind at this hands-on and interactive demonstration.

Offered in partnership with CNIB Deafblind Services in honour of National Deafblind Awareness Month.

Note - The front entrance at the Main Branch on Colborne Street is closed for construction. Visitors may use the entrance off of Wharfe Street.
