Get Ready for Kindergarten (Ages: 3-4)

August 1st, 2:30pm - 3:15pm

Main Library

Register for either July or August for this 4-week Kindergarten readiness program. Each week we will focus on curriculum milestones, STEM learning and social skills in a fun and interactive format. Registration Required.

Registration for the 4-week program in July or August opens on May 2nd. To register call 519-756-2220.

Let's read together! Families, friends and young children will enjoy stories, puppets, music and more!

School Age (or All Ages) Programs 

All programs are Drop In and children of all ages are welcome but programs are geared to children ages 4-12.  


Maker Shop

September 13th, 6:30pm - 7:15pm

Think it, try it! Experiment with unique technologies, learn the basics of block coding, complete challenges with robots or build simple circuit projects.

Kid painting

Little Picassos

Main Branch

The creations of your imagination come to life with art! Experiment with creative making, crafting, and painting. Come dressed to get messy!


Family Discovery Zone (Ages: All)

July 29th, 10:30am - 11:30am

Main Library and St. Paul Branch

Spend time with your family while you read, play and learn together at your own pace with self-directed learning activities. 

Parenting Support Programs

All programs are Drop in and children of all ages are welcome but programs are geared to children ages 0-6.  These programs run all year (except when the library is closed).

Brant County Health Unit Family Drop In (Ages: 0-5)

September 7th, 10:00am - 12:00pm

Main Branch

Parents and their children can learn about healthy child development, school preparation, positive parenting, attachment, breast feeding support, and healthy lifestyle choices. In partnership with the Brant County Health Unit.

Note: Program runs until Thursday, July 13th and will resume on Thursday, September 7th.

Stay and Play Best Start Family Drop-In (Ages: 0-6)

August 3rd, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Main Branch

Come play and learn through activities that foster children's expression and readiness to learn and promote a strong foundation for lifelong learnig. In partnership with the Family Counselling Centre of Brant.

Note: There will be no program on July 27, August 24th and August 31st.

Parachute Program (Ages: 0-1)

If you are a mom who is in need of emotional support and have kids aged 0-12 months, this group is for you! A light lunch is served and a free taxi is available if needed. Call Jane at 519-755-9482 for more information. In partnership with Kids Can Fly.
