Celebrate Culture Days and Knit a Square at the Library!

Celebrate Culture Days and Knit a Square at the Library!

Sep. 27th, 3:00 - 5:00pm

During the week of September 22-27, you will notice baskets of wool and needles throughout our BPL locations. Take a few minutes and "knit a square" and then join us on Saturday, September 27 at the Main Library from 1:00-3:00 p.m. as we join the squares together to create a community wall hanging for BPL's Community Meeting Room. It will look fabulous beside last year's Culture Day's community art piece. If you have any spare wool or needles to contribute that would be great. Just drop them off at either BPL location. It will help fill our baskets. And, if you are able to lend your knitting expertise, we'd love to see you on the 27th! Join us for this Culture Days tradition to Create, Inspire and Connect.

Also on September 27 the Brant Men of Song will be performing at 3:00 p.m. at the Main Library.

Protect Yourself From Online Fraud and Scams

Protect Yourself From Online Fraud and Scams

Oct. 1st, 2:30 - 4:00pm

Wednesday, October 1st is National Seniors' Day and the library will start off our Seniors @ BPL series of fall programs with a presentation by Laura Collier, a crime prevention officer from the Brantford Police. She is going to talk about how to protect yourself from online fraud and scams. This should be of great interest to seniors, who often feel more vulnerable to these things, especially when they're just learning about the Internet and how to use it. Registration is required.
