The Thinking Place: A Lunchtime Speaker Series with David Neumann

Let's build a culture of inquiry! Join us every week at 12:30 p.m. for a new speaker and persepective on topics of interest in the community. Past speakers have included a range of experts from storm chasers to local political icons to paranormal investigators.

November 28 - David Neumann, Brantford: Taking the Long View

When Dave Neumann announced he wasn't seeking re-election in October 2018, it marked a milestone in a rich and varied career in politics. He has served Brantford as alderman, mayor, and city councilor and provincially in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. In addition to teaching at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School, he has coordinatred adult education, advocated for literacy, and participated in several committees dedicated to community and heritage development.

Have you watched Brantford grow and change over the years? If anyone can offer the long view on Brantford as a city, it might well be David Neumann. Come see whether his perspective will offer new insights to your own recollections and memories of Brantford as a vibrant and dynamic place to live and work.

Upcoming Speakers:

December 5 - Aaron Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Director of Strategic Planning and Community Partnerships with the City of Brant, How Does Cannabis Legalization Work?
