"The Dog Ate My Homework." No Longer an Excuse!

Homework?  Questions?  Need help?  The Brantford Public Library is here to help your child.  Thanks to the support of the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board, the Library is extending the hours of its Homework Help Centre located on the second floor of the Main Library.  University students staff the Homework Help Centre which offers support to elementary students in grades 3 to 8, Monday to Thursday after school and on Saturdays.  This free one-on-one support has dedicated space, curriculum resources at hand and uses the latest technology for homework help.

“Learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends,” said Trish Kings, Superintendent of Education with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board.  “The Board is pleased to provide funding for this Homework Help Centre.  It’s another great way to ensure student success.”

“Libraries support the education of children and youth everyday,” said Library CEO, Rose Vespa.  “We hope students from all across the city will visit the library and use this service to get help with all of their homework questions.”

It’s easy to get started – simply drop by the Main Library and visit the Homework Help Centre.  The hours are Monday to Thursday, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  And best of all – it’s free!
